Why actually 2 apps?
This is one of those stories that the Camino writes.
In 2022, we were in the process of preparing our Camino Love app . Meanwhile, there was already the famous Camino Ninja app, which its developer Andy Max Jensen had developed and operated. At the time, it was probably already the most popular app on the Way of St. James.
But in July 2022, Andy passed away suddenly. And his heirs asked us if we could continue to run the app.
We have therefore had two apps since October 2022.
Initially, it was a big challenge to learn how to use the Camino Ninja app “backwards”, as there were no instructions.
We are now working on merging the databases of both apps step by step. After all, up-to-date data is the most important aspect of a Camino app.
Both apps take a completely different approach.
We will therefore continue to operate both apps permanently.
